2 more Mainers with COVID-19 have died as state reports 318 additional cases

The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported 318 additional COVID-19 cases on Thursday and two new deaths.

The number of Mainers who have died from COVID-19 is now 792. Cumberland and Oxford counties each reported one new death.

The 318 additional cases bring the total since the beginning of the outbreak in Maine to 63,175.

The Maine CDC said 556,301 Mainers, or 41.38% of the population, have received their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Aroostook County has 6 new cases, bringing the total to 1,699.
